CATHSSETA

The Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA) is one of the 21 SETAs established under the Skills Development Act (No 97 of 1998) in 2001.CATHSSETA was formally known as the Tourism and Hospitality Education and Training Authority (THETA) until 1 April 2012, when we became the Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority. Our mandate is to facilitate skills development within our sub-sectors through the disbursement of grants for learning programmes and monitoring of education and training as outlined in the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS).

As the Professional Body for the nature guiding sector, FGASA sets, supports, and regulates professional standards to ensure technical and ethical competence, promoting and supporting career development and safeguarding public interest.

Pangolin Guardians

Pangolin.Africa is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the survival of the most highly trafficked wildlife species on Earth – the African pangolin. Through our three-pronged approach of publicity, participation, and protection, we work with global partners in tourism, conservation, and business to contribute to research, protection, and rehabilitation of this vulnerable species. We also play an integral role in bringing together and supporting individuals and organisations in Africa and globally that are committed to safeguarding the future for pangolins.
